How Long Does Mold Remediation Take?
All homes are different, and when it comes to mold remediation in the home, every case is different too. If you find mold in your home, depending on where you find it and how widespread the infestation is, this may be something that you can do on your own. The mold that may form on your bathroom tiling is a typical example of a DIY solution. There are plenty of consumer retail solutions to handle this, and we recommend you use these tools if the situation calls for it.
But when it’s not a small problem, and there’s a clear threat the mold can spread and even endanger the health of everyone living in the building, then it’s time to call in the experts. At AA Action Waterproofing, we have the experience to help a home in need with mold remediation. But if you call for us, how long will it take?
The Scale Of The Situation
The most important determining factor in any mold remediation is the extent of the infestation. If the mold has confined itself to one room, or crawlspace, it may be possible for mold remediation to be done in a single day. There may be a need for you to evacuate the home, along with pets, but it wouldn’t be for more than a few hours, easily solved by a meal and visit to the movies.
On the other hand, more widespread infestation may have occurred in more than one room, and may be infesting the walls themselves. This will require far more comprehensive measures, above and beyond just using a biocide to deal with the mold itself and could require filtration and many other more complex measures. In general, however, even that most intensive mold remediation doesn’t take more than five days. For work of this scale, however, you will be advised to find someplace else to house yourself and your family while the work is being done.
